Hoboken411 flashback: FBI doesn’t care about looted emails

The Hoboken411 insanity is certainly one worth marveling at even with the readily available medication for seeing critters crawling on the ceiling while yelling “the Zimmertinis are coming for me!”

Then again you really can’t blame this one on the iron handed censor Perry Klaussen. This was the handiwork of Beth Mason’s friend who isn’t paid for friendship and who may no longer be on the payroll by Mason’s Lynhurst consultant’s office, friend payroll or not. Read More...

Hoboken Fire Union Contract Reached

City of Hoboken announces:

=&0=& The Zimmer Administration has negotiated a contract agreement with Fire Unions IAFF Local 1076 and 1078, who have been without a contract since 2007. “This agreement is fair to both our employees and taxpayers,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. “Our fire fighters have been working without a contract since 2007, and for the first time in years, they will now have a fair contract going into the future.” The agreement has been ratified by both union memberships, and the City Council will be asked to review and vote on the agreement at Monday night’s Council meeting. The new six year contract is effective from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2013. The retroactive pay increases and insurance and vacation day concessions that were negotiated mirror those agreed to with the police unions earlier this year. The retroactive pay would be paid over three years from 2012 to 2014. The memorandum of agreement will be posted on the City’s web site after City Council members have received the information. “In addition to completing this union agreement, my Administration is also working to make certain that both our Police and Fire Departments have safe working environments and our employees are able to keep our community safe,” added Mayor Zimmer. “We are preparing an important bond necessary to make critical repairs to our fire houses and police headquarters. The firehouse at 1313 Washington Street has a rusted support beam in the floor over which the trucks drive and water leaks into the electrical system. At fire headquarters, the façade is separating from the building and is in need of immediate repairs. Our police headquarters lacks basic heating and cooling and security measures.” =&1=& Email | Text |Website | Facebook | Twitter | RSS

And now a word from our new sponsor: Bludiamonds

A big, big “thank you” to Da Horsey for allowing me this opportunity to $tate my ca$e on behalf of my Counte$$, with regard to the FBI probe Counte$$ initiated that I maintain will still come to ensnare Mayor Zimmer. Da Horsey and I have disagreed on many occasions… On most occasions, actually… All right, all right, we have disagreed on ALL occasions, because it is in fact my job to counter$pin anything he says and project my own not-for-friendship arrangement onto him by alleging he is paid by Zimmer. Our disagreements even led, in one occasion, to outright fisticuffs, but while I still maintain it was Roman who punched and shoved himself and then took MY camera away, I appreciate his willingness to let bygones be bygones and offer me some cyber-real estate to pre$ent my $pin. As I have been known to quote from Voltaire, “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” Read More...

The Conspiracy against the People of Hoboken

Take a deep breath, pause, and let’s take it from the top.  The FBI investigation in Hoboken is in the pupae stage.  A strategy to take down the Data Theft Ring is the initiator in what the complaint hints is a far wider criminal conspiracy against the City of Hoboken.

After watching the doings of MORTe and company in several elections and City Council meetings, does anyone even think they can make a case these people are not in a war to obtain power by any means necessary?

They almost threw the City into financial ruin, shut a hospital already saved that would have destroyed countless lives and are currently playing with the lives of municipal workers and the City’s financial health on the issue of a simple refinance of the midtown garage. Read More...

Mayor Dawn Zimmer on FBI: “I trust them”

In a short phone interview yesterday, Mayor Dawn Zimmer spoke about the FBI investigation burning up the Hoboken blogosphere since the arrest of IT Manager Patrick Ricciardi.

The mayor at first referred questions to the US Attorney’s Office, but offered some limited comment on matters not directly connected to the FBI investigation.

Mayor Zimmer at a hospital press conference last month

Asked her feelings on discovering the Data Theft Ring had been constructed early in her term back in early 2010, the mayor stated, “The first thing is I do appreciate the FBI and the US Attorneys Office.  Once we found the evidence of the security breach, we acted appropriated and I trust they will do a complete and thorough investigation.” Read More...

And now a word of thanks from Kurt Gardiner

=&0=& Thank you for your support for my first run in Hoboken/ Hudson County politics as Freeholder of District 5 in Hudson County.  A first time candidate running as an independent I was realistic and did not expect to win. However, I am very happy with the turnout from this election in that I got over 1500 votes. I ran my campaign to raise awareness on the issues of Hoboken getting the short of the “stick” with respect to services we get back from Hudson County and I believe my message resonated with the Hoboken and Jersey City Heights voters. This campaign was limited by design. I look at many of my undertakings with an eye on return on investment and not just from a financial standpoint. Sure, I could have spent $30,000 and the margin may have been closer but the result would have very likely been the same. I am grounded in that reality. This run is just a beginning and I intend to get Hoboken involved more in watching the County. Hoboken deserves its fair share and my turnout has sent a message to the County that there is a large enough block of voters that feel they are being robbed. I intend to grow that base of voters over the next 3 years and give it another shot. I extend congratulations to Anthony Romano for winning his re-election and hope to work with him to be a better Freeholder for Hoboken and JC Heights. I hope next time he will be willing to debate the issues instead of cowering in a corner and hiding behind the HCDO banner. Several debates in 2014 will give the voters more information next time to make their decision on who to vote for. There are opportunities coming up for the County to finally deliver services for Hoboken that we have been denied of for years. Look for me to continue to advocate for our public schools, a better municipal government and more accountability from Hudson County with our taxpayer dollars. This first campaign of mine was less of a campaign and more of a social media experiment in enabling a grass-roots political movement. Imagine the possibilities when I run a campaign for real. Thanks again voters. You sent a message to Hudson County Bosses for sure. In words of despised destruct-a-con Hoboken 2nd Ward City Council Woman Beth Mason and Anthony Romano political ally “We did it!” 🙂

MORTe: ‘We’re innocent’

The media is starting to catch its breath after the Data Theft Ring at City Hall busted wide open with a bang leading to the IT Manager and yet unnamed City officials in today’s Federal criminal complaint.

According to a story in Hoboken Now most of MORTe – Mason-Occhipinti-Russo and Terry Castellano are crying their innocence.  Tim Occhipinti has not been reached for comment but will likely say similarly.

The story says:

And now here comes the smokescreen

Hoboken Now is reporting Councilwoman Beth Mason’s statement today.  MSV premium content members know full well the position taken here months back.

Da Horsey confronted Beth Mason on the question of her requests for these communications to the mayor’s staff – now part of the official FBI investigation.  She and her ally Councilman Michael Russo refused to provide any response and Mason looked to the Corporation Counsel for help.

Some weeks later in an interview outside City Hall, Beth Mason replied to the question posed to her again on whether she had seen any of these emails under investigation by limiting her answer saying, “I didn’t see yours.” Read More...
