Beth Mason’s unintended confession: ‘Prove my guilt’

=&0=& =&1=& =&1=&

At the Monday City Council meeting, public portion became a gold mine, a fount of information for the keen observer of MORTe on the question of their single minded determinedness to make public tens of thousands of emails from the mayor’s office last spring.

The FBI came to Hoboken in late May and scooped up all the data including what was coming and going to the Mayor’s office – a key element of what’s on tap is nothing short of a full blown racketeering conspiracy – RICO in legal parlance. Read More...

State of NJ to MORTe (again): Go back and fix it

The latest saga of MORTe sabotage is being resisted by the State of NJ.  According to a letter discussed on Hoboken Now:

The state Director of Local Government Service Thomas Neff urged Hoboken to call for a special meeting in a letter to the city council.

The council minority, re: MORTe – Beth Mason, Tim Occhipinti, Michael Russo and Terry Castellano have resisted efforts to shift available funds, about 2% of the City’s annual budget in an effort to force Mayor Dawn Zimmer into a corner. Read More...

MSV passes 1,000,000 hits

MSV was looking at some internal data and just discovered it passed 1,000,000 hits!  That’s a million votes of approval from satisfied customers.

This is an unexpected milestone in the two plus years MSV has been in existence.

We’ve done it with no advertising budget, no staff and no one but readers who are looking to find a deeper understanding on the important issues facing the mile square town we love and call home.

While we consider this website reform minded advancing good governance, this milestone would not be possible without reaching an audience much beyond the activist base in town. Read More...

Beth Mason charges MSV in “coordinated smear campaign” with “mayor’s political aides”

It wasn’t going to come up in the last City Council meeting but the question was raised and it stands: what was the impetus behind the witch hunt for emails by Council members Michael Russo and Beth Mason last April?

At that time there was no FBI investigation into the massive conspiracy of looting going on in the Mayor’s office communications but a massive conspiracy was well underway.  The FBI’s criminal complaint stated Patrick Ricciardi had set up an automated computer script capturing all the emails coming and going between two senior members of the mayor’s staff plus the mayor herself going back to early 2010. Mayor announces Thursday home fundraiser

Dear Friends,

Let’s celebrate the saving of our Hospital this Thursday at my house!
(See invite).

Recent events have made clear that there is much work still to be
done.  As many of you know, the City’s former IT Administrator has
been arrested by federal authorities and charged with stealing
confidential e-mails and distributing them to others, including
unnamed current and former City officials.

Last night, the City Council minority continued its strategy of
attempting to harm our City’s interests in the misguided hope that
this will somehow benefit them politically.

Here’s a recap:

First, the Council Minority refused to approve routine line item
transfers.  Line item transfers are done every year by every
municipality and the City Council had already been directed to approve
these transfers in a letter sent to the Council President by the
State.  They knowingly voted NO even when they were told that my
Administration would not be able to pay our fire fighters for the rest
of the year.

Second, the Council Minority refused to refinance the

midtown garage. Instead of voting to save taxpayers $50,000,
they chose to cost taxpayers $4.5 million for no legitimate reason
whatsoever. As a result of their vote, my Administration is forced
to implement staff reductions and may not be able to avoid a
tax increase.

In addition, the Council minority has taken the position that

no bonding should occur for capital expenses.  Unfortunately
we’ve got a Police station and Fire stations in complete disrepair.
We do not have enough street sweepers to keep the streets clean
because they refused to bond after being asked 3 times over the
last year for this crucial equipment.

The bottom line:  They want to force a tax increase and decrease

your quality of life in hopes that the public will blame me for the
consequences of their intentionally irresponsible actions. This is
a sad reality, and a direct violation of the sacred oath that every
elected official has taken.

Hope to see you on Thursday.  Feel free to invite your friends.

The minimum contribution of $250 is just a recommendation  all
supporters are welcome and can contribute whatever amount they
are comfortable with – the more the merrier.

Best,
Dawn

Sign of the Times: Is the Big Man on tap?

Gov. Chris Christie had to already slap MORTe down once for what one Hoboken resident accurately called their acting in a “pathologically obstructionist fashion.”  The sabotage on financial housekeeping is forcing Hoboken into an artificially induced crisis.  Will it take a combination of both the State and Federal law enforcement to save Hoboken?

Mayor Dawn Zimmer is interfacing with the State to find a remedy to last night’s latest MORTe sabotage.

Flashback: Video proof of MORTe trying to interfere with FBI investigation on massive looting of City Hall and Mayor’s Office

Last night, Councilwoman Beth Mason attempted to make an argument there was no interference by her and Morte with the  FBI’s ongoing investigation into a data breach in City Hall.

Here’s the original video from June 14th showing the discussion where the lame duck council majority headed by Beth Mason consisting of MORTe and the soon to be departing Councilman Nino Giacchi does exactly that.

Note early in the discussion where the Corporation Counsel Mark Tabakin says their attempts to jeopardize an FBI investigation will be on their heads: Read More...

MORTe doesn’t like the spotlight on their email activities

Last night in public portion, the sabotage of Hoboken was reignited.  So there was no reason not to highlight the elephant in the room – the outrageous systematic looting of Hoboken’s communications in the mayor’s office.

Councilman Michael Russo made a decision to leave the dais and not return during comments by MSV. He wisely avoided the spotlight and publicly addressing the question of his role (The councilman quietly was standing at the back of the room near the door as MSV exited the council chambers.)
