Hoboken woman fired for “hotness”

A Hoboken resident was recently hired then fired working for a lingerie store in Manhattan due to her to being too “hot.”

In an economy where jobs are scarce, Lauren Odes took a job with Native Intimates only to find her attire at work an issue.  Finally, after being forced to wear a red bathrobe at work, she went shopping to find another outfit accommodating to the owners only to be contacted and told she was being terminated.

She’s filing a discrimination case against the owners with high profile attorney Gloria Allred. Read More...

What really happened with Beth Mason’s massive street money operation and FBI “correspondence” last summer?

=&0=& =&1=& =&1=&

Last August, MSV finally obtained the details of Beth Mason’s $52,000 in street money.  On July 1st, in an interview after a City Council meeting, Mason claimed the complete campaign report was filed, but it hadn’t.  Much later the details of her massive street money campaign would be separately filed and revealed in detail here.
(See original story below.)

Did Beth Mason really pay Michal Russo’s expectant wife $1,000 with her so close to delivering a baby girl Russo himself would mention had already been born on election night? Read More...

Superintendent Toback: Potential new charter school adds “segregative effect,” cuts to district “will inhibit progress”

Dr. Mark Toback, Hoboken’s superintendent of the school district issued a report to the NJ Education commissioner of the impact on a fourth charter school to most of the district’s children.  Be prepared to hear more about the “segregative effect” such an addition will have on the demographics and the impact on class size and programs the majority of other students will suffer with a loss of $1.4 million if a fourth charter is approved.

Channel 77 is currently running the last BoE meeting where a mostly respectful dialogue took place among parents of the Hoboken school district and founders of the hoped for Da Vinci school.  Two notable exceptions and one involved Hoboken resident and Reform activist Carrie Phillips who during the public portion was continuously interrupted by BoE trustee Maureen Sullivan. A day that will live in Hoboken infamy…

A year ago, MSV covered the story of the remote third floor IT Office being padlocked and an emergency special session taking place before the the regular City Council meeting.

During the emergency session, Da Horsey quickly stole himself (pardon the pun) to the third floor to snap this exclusive pic confirming something big was afoot.

At the time, the FBI was already preparing to swoop down on City Hall but the public had no idea the full extent of the seriousness of the IT Office’s closure. MSV sensed enough that Beth Mason’s ghostwriting minion on Hoboken411 attempting to deflect from IT Manager Patrick Ricciardi and attack the mayor’s staff was an absolute loser. Read More...

Hoboken411 joins in the fun on poster calling for “killing the mayor”

 =&0=&

MSV was told of a Hoboken411 exchange someone posted a comment on that cesspool that maybe “the mayor should be killed in 7 days…”

Upon hearing this, there was no comment from Vermont Klaussen at Hoboken411 who is renown for his hatred and vitriol toward the mayor for her council majority refusing to put him on the taxpayer dole with payments from the City back in July of 2009.  He however chimed in at some point that day making light of the utterance the mayor “should be killed.” Read More...

Are you a MORTe minion feeling on the “outs?”

It can’t be all that soothing to be a MORTe minion these days.  Losing sleep? “Friends” not returning calls like they used to? Others suggesting meetings at noisy bus stops instead? Higher ups in MORTe looking at you funny and not inviting you out as much to the old haunts anymore? Not seeing new haunts replacing the old haunts closed up?  Waking up in the dead of night scratching, sweating with itchy hives in new locations?  Staring at the ceiling wide awake at 6:00 am thinking someone was ringing the doorbell? Nap Time for Timmy

When you aren’t making noise at a City Council meeting, you need to take a break now and then to catch some zzz’s and Tim Occhipinti is no exception.  He put one member of the audience to sleep droning on as he is wont to do making audience neighbors laugh uncontrollably he was snoring so loud.

Tim followed his example and caught some rest in between his spittingly weak argumentation.

=&0=&=&1=& =&0=&
Tim Occhipinti rests between grandstanding and making some of the worst arguments on any issue on the agenda at most every City Council meeting.  Don’t take our word for it, watch and witness the ghastliness for yourself.

Grafix Avenger noted some of the ridiculous behavior during Occhipinti’s waking moments.  His earlier positions supporting animal control have been tossed out by the Old Guard’s lamest source for pumping out nonsense of every variety failing to note the previous Occhipinti vote shouldn’t be confused with his new grandstanding on the matter where no difference in policy is actually reflected in the legislation. MORTe fights to preserve Kelo type eminent domain

Last night, a parallel resolution concerning the City’s ability to designate an ‘area in need of rehabilitation’ was up for consideration as a distinct issue from the Southwest Park.  The importance of moving ahead with the resolution was significant and as important as the park vote.

By designating areas as in need of rehabilitation, the City limits itself from pursuing a Kelo type eminent domain transaction – taking private property from one owner under eminent domain powers and turning it over to another private owner. Read More...
