If you are without power and/or gas, your home or business may not be able to accept the service, and until it is certified as safe, PSE&G will not restore service. If you still do not have power, or if PSE&G has red tagged your home and shut off gas, please follow this process:

1. Call a licensed electrician (power) or plumber (gas) – below is a list of contractors that have worked with our office that you may want to consider contacting if you do not already have a contractor.

2. After they complete an inspection and make any necessary repairs, they will let our construction office know (201-420-2066), who will then let PSE&G know to restore power or gas. The contractors on the list are all familiar with the process and our construction office. It’s the day after or the aftermath of the Nazi Truck in Hoboken’s BoE race and things are going to be messy for a spell.  In addition to the vote-by-mail absentees and provisionals totaling in four figures, there’s also outstanding email votes out.

Anyone who sought an email or fax ballot has until Friday to get it back to Hudson County.  Some people may not even have their ballot as Hudson County was one of several areas in New Jersey to be overwhelmed with requests from displaced person. Read More...

While an unknown number of provisional and vote-by-mail ballots outstanding maybe in four figures, Kids First looks to be in position to sweep the BoE election.  The machine tallies are as follows:

Ruthy McAllister had 3,498 votes; Jean Marie Mitchell, 3,223 votes and Tom Kluepfel, 3,426 votes.

The Move Forward slate trails with Elizabeth Markevitch 2,844, Anthony Oland 2,513, and Felice Vazquez 2,488.

Patricia Waiters has 987 votes running as an independent.

They’re back!!! For the fifth time in Hoboken, the Move Forward Nazi Truck returns to Hoboken.

The police just forced the Nazi Truck to move off the uptown pier where you guessed it, the Move Forward plague on Hoboken was parked illegally.

Most telling, the Move Foward Nazi Truck is showing a commercial – Move Forward’s!!!

The cascade of applications for a ballot via email and fax has caused the State to issue an extension.

From a NJ colleague:

I’ve confirmed this. The NJ Dept of State has extended the deadline to submit ballots by fax or email until FRIDAY, 11/9 at 8pm. 


But applications still need to be submitted by TODAY at 5pm. 


County clerks offices will process applications until noon on Friday.

There’s been a couple of voting problem reports out; one incorrect but one very problematic. 

MSV is getting reports the poll workers at the Multi-Service Center are incorrectly sending people to 220 Adams St.  People don’t have time to chase their tail and go to the wrong place to vote.

Hudson County election officials are instructing the poll workers correctly voters have the absolute right to vote on a PROVISIONAL BALLOT if they go to a polling station and are told they are not able to vote there for any reason. Read More...
