Sign of the Times: Thugging it out at the HHA meeting

The special meeting a week back Thursday didn’t end the chaos and organized rabble rousing at the regular scheduled meeting last night.  The shady, disputed attorney contract battle didn’t precipitate a peace, it’s precipitated a war with HHA Chairman Jake Stuiver being targeted with attack t-shirts and other reform members targeted seeing abuse and a taste of Old Guard thug style attacks up close and personal.

Taking it for the Reform Team: HHA Chairman Jake Stuiver has been a model of decorum in the face of savage,
organized attacks for doing nothing more than trying to see new professionals take roles within the HHA.

MSV will have more but don’t expect one complaint on the less than ugly race baiting and personal attacks being a “distraction” from Executive Director Carmelo Garcia.

It’s his carnival after all, a street carnival.

Actual video still of taping at HHA meeting last night.  Accidental interruption or thuggery?

The front of the astroturf t-shirts reportedly distributed by Beth Mason political operative and 4th ward Democratic Committeeman Matt Calicchio:

Stuiver who has served on the HHA board for three years is like other commissioners unpaid.  He’s personally sponsored a Thanksgiving Dinner for HHA residents with this website and dug deep into his own pocket to ensure its success.

A family emergency required he leave early.  When the unspecified family emergency was announced, people in the crowd cheered.

Talking Ed Note: MSV won’t say this is representative of all HHA residents, but certainly the misinformed, easily led who answer to the call of the Hoboken Syndicate.  The same people who captain and are paid $40 for their votes at election time.

MSV will be back with more but for the moment let’s give a shout out to Carmelo, “No County Job in Da House!”

That’s the word on the street.
