Eduardo Gonzalez steps ahead for the Carmelo Garcia – Ruben Ramos ticket

Multiple eyewitnesses verify Eduardo Gonzalez, a former Hoboken Housing Authority commissioner and Quality of Life group member is collecting council petitions for a run this November against incumbent Councilman Peter Cunningham in the fifth ward.

Gonzaelz, an ironclad vote for the status quo under the “ethnic cleanser” suing former Hoboken Housing Authority Executive Director Carmelo Garcia is expected to help round out a ticket under the Ruben Ramos banner.

The Hoboken SLAPP-suit heard ’round the world

=&0=&

The SLAPP suit heard around the world or at least throughout the state of New Jersey is seeing major coverage in and around the Tri-State area.

The NJ Law Journal released a major story yesterday and it’s listed as among the top stories today.

Lane Bajardi, an anchor on radio station 1010 WINS who is active in Hoboken politics, filed a suit in 2012 against 17 defendants, claiming he was defamed by various blog postings, including one calling him a “paid political operative,” and another accusing him of attempting to steal emails sent to Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer.  The article continues:
Gibson and Cox failed to conduct a reasonable inquiry into whether the allegations in the suit had evidentiary support, Arre said. And Cohen’s claim that he had a reasonable basis to believe actual malice could be proven was contrary to evidence that the defendants’ allegedly defamatory statements were substantially true.

The whining begins….

It had to start sometime, this after all being Hoboken the home of a host of whiners and losers who are not about to celebrate Beth Mason’s latest political operation being taken down for the count.

After Hobken411 self-destructed, (congratulations Lane), the Old Guard, faux journalists and plain old miserable hacks haven’t been the same since. They desperately need a “safe space” where they can ply their trade of misinformation and fabrications without ginning up too many members of the Hoboken public in response. Read More...

Anatomy of a frivolous litigation with Beth Mason, Lane and Kimberly Cardinal Bajardi

=&0=&=&1=& =&2=&

The decision rendered this week in Hudson Superior Court on Hoboken bloggers (commenters) is monumental on two fronts: NJ rights to political speech and frivolous litigation.

First and foremost, there is no longer any lingering mystery about this Beth Mason supported SLAPP-suit.  In August 2012, the Hudson Reporter said this case could be of national importance and pointed to one example of a Washington State case where a single comment led to a negative verdict against a blogger. Report: First Amendment detonates free speech winds over Hoboken

It’s early July with many focused on spending time with friends and family if not taking vacations – mini, maxi – or as one inspired commenter offered, catching up on the wisdom of Voltaire: the real one, not the little fascist phony quoting variety.

A nuclear detonation exploded over Hoboken Wednesday afternoon with Judge Patrick Arre’s 36 page legal decision dissecting three years of frivolous litigation against a dozen Hoboken residents including this editor. It was summed up as merely short of approaching a total “fraud on the Court.” Read More...

BREAKING: COURT ORDERS BETH MASON “FRIENDS” LANE BAJARDI AND KIMBERLY CARDINAL BAJARDI TO PAY OVER $275,000 FOR FRIVOLOUS LITIGATION

=&0=& =&1=& =&2=& =&3=& =&4=& =&3=& =&6=& In a major First Amendment decision issued today by Hudson Superior Court, Councilwoman Beth Mason’s “friends” – Lane Bajardi and Kimberly Bajardi were slammed with =&7=& in defendants’ legal fees for perpetrating a SLAPP suit.
Lane Bajardi of 1010 WINS and a “friend” of Beth Mason and Richard Mason was slammed along with his wife for over $275,000 for frivolous litigation.
SLAPP stands for Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation and was evidenced in many defendants’ motions with the Bajardis’ own emails before Hudson Superior Court in the almost three year civil litigation. The court’s ruling is likely to harbor major First Amendment ramifications for political free speech. Judge Patrick R. Arre issued an order for frivolous litigation and sanctioning several of the Bajaridis attorneys issuing the bulk of fees in motions by the Hoboken defendants heard in oral argument last May. The bulk of the more than $275,000 fees were awarded to the defendants who went to trial: Nancy Pincus ($26,033) who writes the website Grafix Avenger, Roman Walter Brice, editor of The Hudson Mile Square View ($22,687) and named Screen Defendant M. Heyer $225,757.  Otther anonymous screen name defendants in the case dismissed in April 2014 were awarded $2,200. The Court agreed with defendants’ request for sanctions hitting Bajardis attorneys: a $2,000 sanction to =&8=& of Pennsylvania and $1,000 sanctions each to =&9=&
