Everyday on multiple fronts, Afghanistan, Iraq and in places unsaid they have put their lives on the line for our freedoms, our Constitution, our Republic.

Anticipated is the criminal referrals and what ballots will trigger what outcome being sent over to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.  It’s not clear what and who may be involved – rule breaking of the lesser variety or larger and more sinister violations. Read More...

Water main break 7th – Clinton & Grand

=&0=& A 12 inch water main broke around 3 am this morning on 7th Street between Clinton Street and Grand Street. United Water repair crews are on the scene making repairs. Water is safe to drink, and there are no disruptions to the water supply. Cars parked along 7th Street needed to be moved in order for crews to begin repairs. Residents with parking permits were called early in the morning and asked to move their vehicles. Vehicles that were not moved were towed. Residents should visit the Police station for a tow release. There will be no charge to release towed vehicles. Hertz Connect vehicles parked on the street will be temporarily relocated to the adjacent A&P parking lot. “I want to thank the Hoboken Police, Environmental Services, the Office of Emergency Management, and United Water for their quick response to the situation,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. Until repairs are completed, 7th Street between Clinton Street and Grand Street will remain closed to traffic. For updates, visit the City website at http://hobokennj.org

Occhipinti lawyer: any campaign fraud “not sanctioned by the campaign”

The Hudson County Board of Elections certified the fourth ward special election yesterday, but it failed to connect the dots on the clear lines of evidence presented showing a likely organized effort for voter fraud.

The Lenz for Council campaign is continuing to press its case with 200 challenges presenting a host of problems in the vote, especially in the vote by mail operation.

VBMs are central to questions swirling on vote fraud

Hoboken Patch details much of the issue in a comprehensive piece today with some comments from Councilman Ravi Bhalla on behalf of the Lenz for Council campaign and also lawyer Michael Goldberg, the counsel for the Occhipinti for Council campaign. Read More...

Hoboken Advocate disputes Castellano’s characterization of ‘a mistake’

At the previous City Council meeting, Councilwoman Terry Castellano put out into the Hoboken ether a description of ex-mayor Anthony Russo’s ways as doing “something wrong.”

The clip as seen here November 7th from the previous City Council meeting is probably only a small taste of what is to come from the “new era” with Tim Occhipinti seated as fourth ward Councilman.

Although MSV can’t confirm it as there would be no response from Councilwoman Beth Mason on her aspirations to put the words ‘City Council President’ on her mass mailers for the spring Council elections, some key observers expect her to attempt to eject the current City Council President Carol Marsh.
