Reval roil

Sometimes a proposed City Council resolution is illegal and exceeds the authority of the legislative body. Last night Hoboken was treated to exactly this tasty delight when Councilwoman Terry Castellano teamed up again with Beth Mason to put forward a political attack resolution against the rolling reval.

Rolling reval rolled back?

As Hoboken is about to reconsider the rolling reval issue, some budgetary impact surfaces which is problematic on the other side of the homeowner equation.

With Carmelo Garcia DMW, who will Brian Stack select for Assembly?

=&0=&=&1=&

You would be hard pressed to understand why the lineup for NJ Assembly is so long. Considering the positions in the State of NJ are mostly stand-ins for the senior power broker State Senators who unofficially designate, re: bequeath them; it’s a two year job often under appreciated and massively less effective than the senior house member’s four year term.

The saying in NJ politics is apt; the state Assembly is where political careers go to die. And so in the case of Carmelo Garcia, the axiom has proven once again correct. Or has it? Read More...
