Zoning out

There’s two spots for the Zoning Board.  This gives people the opportunity to apply and take a shot at one of the more important local boards.  Two slots and you have to put in a notarized application.  Hop to it, here’s the details:

City Council Announces Zoning Board Vacancies to be filled at Council’s December 16th Meeting for Terms Beginning January 1, 2010
City Council President Peter Cunningham announced today that the City Council intends to fill existing vacancies on the City’s Zoning Board at its December 16th meeting for terms beginning January 1, 2010.  As of the New Year, there will be two vacancies for regular board members, and two possible alternate vacancies.
“The City Council, as the appointing authority for Zoning Board members, will expeditiously fulfill its obligation to appoint members to the Zoning Board.  This Board is critical to ensuring responsible development in Hoboken.  We are actively seeking competent individuals in the community who are committed to enforcing zoning and land use laws and advancing the public interest in Hoboken,”  Council President Cunningham stated. 
Applicants who would like to be considered by the Council for one of these seats must submit a notarized application to the City Clerk no later than December 8, 2009.  Applications may be downloaded from the City’s website or requested in the City Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
