Yesterday, an unlikely coincidence as the battle of the Bobs for NJ Senate found its way into Hudson County.

In Jersey City, a HudCo shindig arranged by County Democratic Chair Amy DeGise saw hundreds gathered to declare the HudCo war over and efforts focused to see incumbent Senator Bob Menendez stay in Washington DC for another six years. Hudco party boss himself, Bob Menendez was on hand.

Meanwhile, a protest against Menendez featuring upstart Bob Hugin backers arrived to make noise eventually seeing the Bob Hugin “Send in a Marine” bus enter Hoboken traveling north on Washington St. Those soldiers operated sans Bob.

It won’t be the last in the hotly contested Battle of the Bobs for NJ Senate but it may be the last time Hudson County is a Bob vs. Bob battleground on the same day.

The Bob Hugin bus was spotted in Hoboken yesterday heading north on Washington St. It reportedly came from a protest in Jersey City against Bob Menendez where a HudCo event took place.
