The following like MSV’s exclusive February 17th story is compiled based on investigative reporting/analysis/opinion spanning years of MSV’s coverage in Hoboken and attending hospital board meetings at HUMC.
Emails contained here are part of the public record obtained in over two and a half years of civl litigation in the well known lawsuit against this MSV editor and a dozen or more Hoboken residents. The documents numbering in the area of 100,000 including electronic data are available to the public at Hudson Superior Court in the case: Bajardi v Pincus.
The Wednesday night City Council meeting is available at the link: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/58977491
Second ordinance reading for parking meters? Don’t see it but there’s some major bond issues.
The agenda follows:
2-18-15 Hoboken City Council MeetingIs attention on Hoboken’s First Amendment victory over? From the NY Post to the biggest statewide political website in New Jersey, PolitickerNJ, the answer is no.
A column penned by well known NJ attorney Donald Scarinci weighed in on the Hoboken First Amendment trial thrown out of Hudson County Superior Court last week.
One insight he offered was Lane Bajardi’s status in Hoboken as a limited public figure was determined by the court due to his involvement with the “political factions” in Hoboken.
This is both germane and correct as last September, Judge Christine M. Vanek made that determination while dismissing all remaining claims of Kimberly Cardinal Bajardi and most of the claims by Lane Bajardi.
The September legal opinion dually highlighted the issues in the case and relate directly to important matters of public concern writing:

The original contradictory discrimination verdict in Jersey City at Hudson Superior Court by a jury was for over a million dollars. The jury held Mayor Dawn Zimmer not liable but gave an award to Alicea.
Unconfirmed, the City of Hoboken should see a significant amount paid by its insurance carrier which would be a better result for Hoboken taxpayers.

Emails alleged stolen out of Mayor Dawn Zimmer’s office, part of a well publicized 2011 FBI investigation, found their way to virulent opponents of her Administration according to evidence presented in the Lane Bajardi defamation trial dismissed last week against two Hoboken political website owners.
The complete series of emails exchanged are made public here for the first time.
The emails at question, originating from the mayor’s office in February 2011 are part of a defense trial exhibit, (public information) having been turned over by former plaintiffs Lane Bajardi and Kimberly Cardinal Bajardi to former defendants, Nancy Pincus and Roman Brice.
The Hudson Reporter did a feature story last weekend on the Hoboken civil lawsuit trial brought by Lane Bajardi and Kimberly Cardinal Bajardi highlighting free speech and issues of public concern, especially as it pertains to political speech.
The story was problematic on numerous levels, one being a quote provided by this trial participant to media present was published by every other media outlet in attendance: the Jersey Journal, PoltickerNJ, and the Hudson County View except the Hudson Reporter.

The NY Post rang in Valentine’s eve reporting Hoboken residents Lane Bajardi and Kim Cardinal Bajardi not only lost their two year plus litigation – they may be hit with legal fees of all the defendants!
From the NY Post story filed late Friday night:
A 1010 WINS news reader lost his $2 million defamation case against his blogging Hoboken neighbors — and he may now have to pay their legal fees.
A Hudson Superior Court judge tossed the Lane Bajardi’s case mid-trial, sending jurors home earlier this week even before the two local gadflies he’s sued had presented their defense.

PolitickerNJ just weighed in with its winners and losers of the week. Astoundingly, not only did the prominent Hoboken bloggers get a mention, both are named second place top winners of the week!
| Grafix Avenger: Winner of the week. |
PolitickerNJ writes in its number two slot of winners:
Nancy Pincus & Roman Brice
Bringing to an end a politically charged trial, the two well known local Hoboken bloggers withstood a defamation suit in Hudson Superior Court this week when a judged ruled in their favor.
But the winners and losers PolitickerNJ story in regards to The Mile Square City didn’t end there. It lists among the losers of the week writing what one local paper oddly merely described only as a “Hoboken couple.”
