Hoboken ‘St. Patrick’s Day’ Leper-Con invasion shows continued improvement

The invasion of the Leper-Cons, redubbed by Hoboken bar sponsors as Hoboken St. Patrick’s Day is once again passed but the improvement since 2012, the first bar crawl year is already hitting the record books.

Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante shot out twitter posts communicating the unofficial data end of day demonstrating continuous improvement year over year:

Major infrastructure and new park initiatives approved in Hoboken City Council

Last week’s City Council meeting approved several major initiatives for Hoboken. Based on a news report filed by Jeannette Josue for the Hudson County View:

The Hoboken City Council authorized the application process for New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust projects for the Southwest Resiliency Park ($4.7 Million), the Northwest Resiliency Park ($11.9 Million) and the replacement and drainage for the Washington Street project.

The HCV report further notes:

Mike Leahy, System Maintenance Manager of United Water, continued by saying that since 1994, when United Water entered into a public-private partnership with Hoboken, it has experienced a total of 9 main breaks and 62 service leaks.  This would average a main break every 1.5 years and 3 service leaks a year.

Second ward residents question Beth Mason on “questionable practices” of her ‘close associates’ and HUMC’s 60,000 emails

Two second ward residents concerned about the illicit clouds forming around Beth Mason sought answers last night from their second ward representative. The issue of illicitly obtained emails in the tens of thousands during the highly sensitive 2011 hospital sale being the focus of varying questions.

James Sanford, a second ward resident speaking on behalf of the Hoboken Republican Party repeated an earlier public request Beth Mason apologize for her massive campaign violations.
