How much is it worth to take over Hoboken411?
|Hoboken411’s Perry Klaussen
heading into court last week.
With Perry Klaussen, Hoboken’s notorious smear merchant headed to greener pastures of Vermont and presumably low carb maple syrup, the website Hoboken411 will likely be available in a fire sale.
Declining readership and ad revenue means a bargain basement price will be in the offing, after all you there’s nothing authentically local about Hoboken from a remote location in New England.
If he hasn’t already tried to find someone to buy the website or just the url, it won’t be long now.
Some people in the web business believe the website address, the url itself has some value and if a person had a good idea could make something of it. Thoughts range on the cost, but most say a range of $15,000 – $25,000 is about right.
Of course it was only a year ago, when a perhaps panicked Perry Klaussen saw the FBI come into Hoboken and take off with the IT Manager Patrick Ricciardi’s documents and computers, along with others data centers in the building and posted an ad for a website that sounds just like Hoboken411 on Craigslist asking for more than a $1,000,000.
The ad was featured on the Hoboken Journal and promptly taken down.
Yeah it was crazy but that is fitting for Hoboken411 and Das Klaussen.
If you have an idea for a local website, you can submit your bid to Perry Klaussen at firstname.lastname@example.org. Any bid may win, after all he’s going to have to dump it since Hoboken dumped him.
Just be careful on what Hoboken411 claims is true, organic traffic. It’s been proven he has a big following – in Japan!
Last July that expose on Hoboken411’s website traffic also appeared on the Hoboken Journal. Love ya Giant!
