Guess who’s coming to the funeral?

Some readers enjoy a feel good story in Hoboken. This isn’t one of them unless necrophilia wrapped in egotism is up your alley.

Bring out ye dead is an all time favorite clip from Monty Python’s timeless comedy on King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table but in Hoboken, bottomless narcissism and the unquenchable need for attention has coupled with a very odd “offer” featuring even more ghoulish self-promotion.

First, they tried to bankrupt Hoboken for nefarious political gain killing the biggest employer in the Mile Square, (the hospital employs over 1,000 people) but now they just want some of your attention when death itself visits you and yours.
Hey, is this guy with the cart on the payroll too?

Talking Ed Note: Grafix Avenger shares the unbelievable news to Hoboken, “Bring out your dead.”

Hey, it could be worse. You could be pulled away from a dying family member and forced to attend a hearing on phony criminal charges in a neighboring Hudson County municipality leading up to the funeral.

It’s the kind of thing that makes them so unforgettable.

Been there, done that.
