Beth Mason sends out petitioners “for mayor”
MILE SQUARE VIEW EXCLUSIVE
Many in Hoboken took off for annual vacations around the July 4th holiday but some uptown in the Mile Square faced a scary Halloween proposition.
Residents walking around on the street last weekend report being asked to sign a Beth Mason petiton “for mayor.”
Are the petitions real? Are these petitions for second ward council or has Mason descended completely into madness and begun an absurd plan to obtain the top seat at City Hall?
Were the hired petitioners (intentionally) misinformed or is Beth Mason making noise with a second Hoboken Democratic Party meeting expected next month to select Vice Chair(s) and possibly an honorary chair?
Petitions for City Council are available to gather signatures for City Council ward races this fall. The deadline for filing petitions is August 31, a long way off in the distance.
Has Beth Mason gone completely out of her mind sending petitioners out to collect signatures for mayor? Some eyewitnesses report being asked uptown to sign petitions for “Beth Mason for mayor.” |
Talking Ed Note: If these petitions are real documents from the City Clerk’s office being collected for second ward council; there could be another problem to add to Beth Mason’s lengthy list: P-E-R-J-U-R-Y.
More to come.
The political NJ dignitaries drew from Essex, Middlesex, Monmouth, Bergen and of course Hudson County but there was no Beth Mason from nearby Hoboken.
She wasn’t missed.
