Re: The illegal Zimmertini backed invasion in Hobroken and why I matter
Without my consent, an illegal gathering, a true invasion upon Hobroken took place Wednesday. It was a disaster of unprecendent proportion, which has never befallen us since timecards were introduced at City Hall.
While I know this is upsetting to many of you, my crack consulting team has been on the job. Yesterday we held an emergency meeting at Mazin Civic plotting how to use this invasion against the mayor. We are determined to uncover the true nature of the invaders and their narcotics distributed through unapproved sources and more determined to keep any of the invading scum from moving in, with exceptions to Friends of Ours who are receiving their due royalties of course.Read More...
Fresh Films by Young Filmmakers:
Urban Image Presents “Summer Docs Showcase”
The film-making group Urban Image from New Jersey City University will present a series of short films profiling interesting local people in their “Summer Docs Showcase” at the Hoboken Historical Museum this Thursday, at 8 pm.
This engaging evening of documentaries by NJCU students tells stories of exceptional people — some of whom struggle with homelessness, some who make art, and one who lives out his dreams in unusual ways (Hoboken’s own Batman). The series is curated by Professor Jane Steuerwald and features work by Felix Rodriguez, Makisha Rodriguez, Nandy Santos, and Marco Vidal.
Join the filmmakers at a reception afterwards in the Museum’s open-air walkway at 1301 Hudson Street. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Free parking is available at the Littleman Parking-Independence
Garage, located at 12th Street and Shipyard Lane, for up to three hours with validated tickets.

To Marlon: Long live free Cuba. One day my friend, one day.
The only observation one can come away with is Beth Mason’s employees were prepped and acted as the boss operates. In this case, the courtroom was just another locale for a political operation.
Judge Sixto Macias of the Union City Municipal Court saw through it all.
SPOT-ON REVIEW !!! just got home from this terrific concert. The NYC skyline is unparalled. The Freedom Tower in the backdrop, through the light phases of rainy late afternoon through dusk with sun bursting through, then darkness..with strobe lights from stage streamng across the river. and then the fireworks 🙂 Mumford & Sons were world class and started their US Tour with a bang!! and Dawes was great too !!! HOBOKEN…YOU DONE GOOD !!!!!! It was really very well done, I agree with you Tris! One question though…does anyone know what that fighter plane was doing with the helicopter escort flying over the river and so close to the Tower?? It was obviously a show plane of some type, but it was pretty nerve-wracking the first time we saw it flying so low and close…. 🙂
One of the best running jokes in Hoboken since last fall revolves around the former construction official and to many, just short of full fledged terror – Al Arezzo. Originally the report was relayed that Arezzo’s cronies were going around telling everyone that “Al was coming back next week.”
The joke replayed itself over and over, month in and month out not much different as many Soviet citizens who worried what would happen to them after Stalin’s death, thinking he should be buried in another country to prevent a repeat of the Lenin cult situation.Read More...

One of the intriguing aspects, one among many of the Union City Municipal Court trial involving two Beth Mason employees is the interchangeable use of the name of the employer: the Mason Civic League and/or Mason Family Civic League.
It’s a key aspect rivaling the false testimony the judge would slam from both Mason Civic League employees.
At the June trial, both Tania Garcia and Matt Calicchio reference their employer but it’s evasive or intentionally deceitful how they do so – with Garcia being quite unclear and Calicchio attempting to color his employment for the “gallery.”Read More...
Somewhat sooner than expected but the court transcripts have arrived and MSV has notified the contributors on receiving a copy via email as the third party website used in the fundraising does not provide email addresses or permit an attachment to funders in its contacting mechanism.
There’s not many left who haven’t had a copy emailed but if you haven’t received the transcripts, please send a note to smartyjones@me.com identifying your donor name and the email address you wish to have the document sent.
The transcripts for State vs. Calicchio make for some fascinating reading as the Court was clearly aghast at the relative ease in committing perjury by the two Mason Civic League employees.

A petition circulating last weekend proposes a November referendum this fall giving voters in the coming presidential election a choice on when to hold Hoboken municipal elections. Those elections are currently scheduled for May next spring.
If approved, the referendum will move municipal elections scheduled from May to later in the fall in November.
Separately, a second petition proposes ending runoff elections eliminating a costly expenditure for both taxpayers and candidates. Three at-large council seats and the mayor would be affected in any switch likely decided this November by Hoboken voters. If voters approve the measures, their terms would be extended in the one time switch from May to November next year.Read More...
