Assemblywoman Chapparo: Oct. 26th fundraiser at Mills Tavern

From the desk of Assemblywoman Annette Chaparro:

Dear MSV readers —
I’ve been very busy over the past few weeks with new legislation I’ve introduced, voting sessions, and meeting with constituents in the district, but I wanted to reach out with an important invitation to a fundraiser I’m holding in a few weeks.
From the start, the one part of politics I knew I wouldn’t be comfortable with is asking for money, but I’ve learned that it’s necessary to being an effective legislator and making a difference in our community, so I’m appealing to you today for your assistance.  In addition to my regular campaign expenses, let me share a few ways in which my campaign account has spent its money.
I’ve used my campaign account to assist non-profits that make an impact in our district. This includes writing checks to help fund lupus research, sponsoring events for senior citizens in our community, scholarship money for the United Way, supporting the children of Hoboken Cheer Dynamics, helping send the children of the Hoboken Housing Authority to fun days at water parks, and supporting other charities. I’m also supporting Democratic groups in Hudson County and beyond to ensure that the right candidates are representing the hard working people of New Jersey.
With that in mind, I hope you’ll consider joining me at my fundraiser at Mills Tavern in Hoboken on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re unable to attend but would still like to make a donation, click here.
I truly appreciate your financial support to help me serve as an effective legislator and make a difference in our community! Your donation is an investment in a better 33rd District!
Annette Chaparro
Assemblywoman, 33rd District
