|Dear Horsey and MSV readers —
It has been an exciting week for the Zimmer Team. On Monday, Mayor Dawn Zimmer, Councilman Ravi Bhalla, Councilman David Mello and Council candidate James Doyle welcomed over 100 supporters at the Madison Bar and Grill for a great night of football and fun. Thank you to all of our friends who supported us. A big thank you to Abby and Eli Manning for being our special guests!
On Wednesday, Mayor Zimmer was honored with the Hero of the Harbor award given by the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance for “the Mayor’s extraordinary leadership and courage in managing the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.”
TODAY Team Zimmer is gearing up for our Canvass Kick-Off at 12pm at our office at 98 Garden Street. We are taking our message to the streets of Hoboken talking to friends and neighbors about the importance of November’s election. Four years ago, you all all came together to lead Hoboken in a new direction. You brought honest professional government to City Hall, saved Hoboken’s hospital and made responsible and fiscally sound decisions with taxpayer money, but we still have more to do.
As we all know, Hoboken thrives on being a community where everybody is a “neighbor” and part of not just a town, but also a large family. That’s why spreading our grassroots message—making that personal connection with Hobokenites—is so important to us and to our campaign. Our event tomorrow at 12 will be just the first step in that direction. Be a part of our movement and help us spread the word.
Canvass Kick-Off: Please join TODAY as we take our message to the streets. Time: 12pm at Zimmer Team HQ!
Voter Registration: Are you registered? Don’t miss your chance? Meet us @ Washington Street and Newark Street from 12pm to 3pm.
Wicked Happy Hour with Team Zimmer: Please join us at the Wicked Wolf on October 8, 2013 at 7pm for a meet and greet to get involved and help make that extra effort to see Dawn and the Zimmer Team prevail on Election Day. This your chance to meet the Zimmer Team Guys-David, Ravi and Jim.
We’ve seen how grassroots organizing can transform elections, and the lifeblood of any good campaign is always in its volunteers. We need you to share your time with Dawn on the doors, on the phones or with your neighbors to make sure we keep leading Hoboken forward.
