President Trump briefed the country extending the national guidelines to “slow the spread” to April 30th. The task force is anticipating a climb in cases with a possible apex reached in two weeks into Easter.

Testing is reportedly over 800,000 and President Trump offered congratulations to Abbott Labs. The pharma company in less than a month developed  a rapid response test approved by the FDA which can obtain results in as little as five minutes.

President Trump urged the press to look into a rapid depletion of masks in New York City hospitals. Local hospitals are reporting the lack of masks and basic personal protection materials in a matter of days if not hours.

The federal government is set to act as a backup to states and their governors. This simple fact seems to have been lost among many who think the federal government is set up to act on every local need in a nation of hundreds of millions.

Sadly, this points to how ill informed many are. That misinformation is being bellowed by many, some who don’t know and others who know very well but don’t want to “let an emergency go to waste.

This during a national emergency that is the first of its kind. Dr. Faci is pointing to models with possible deaths in the range of 100-200K. This modeling is however is not a scientific result based on  a static model. The nation is taking mitigating action. If no action was taken, the same modeling predicted there would have been two million deaths.

Currently, 1100 patients in NYC are on the combination therapy of Hydroxychloroquine and Azrithomycin. It would not be difficult to add in addition an equally inexpensive addition to the treatment with Zinc sulfate.

President Trump spoke about and praised Elmhurst Hospital stating he grew up near it in Queens.

Manhattan actually has far less cases and hospitalizations than the borough of Queens. This speaks to the disaster that Open Borders sanctuary policies have wrought on NYC and the nation in this glaring example.
