Carmelo Garcia ethnic cleansing litigation emails show Hudson Reporter covering up his transgressions

=&0=&

As noted earlier today, an inquiry to the Hudson Reporter on its failure to ever report on the scathing Housing and Urban Development report calling Carmelo Garcia’s rigged approval of the 2013 legal counsel contract “legally flawed” yielded no reply.

HUD made the designation on the procurement of a reissued contract against renewing HHA counsel Charles Daglian but the Hudson Report had a singular focus on everything but those troublesome findings.

Similarly, the Hudson Reporter would completely ignore and never report on the 2014 HHA audit report listing numerous problems under the controversial stewardship of Carmelo Garcia.  Read More...

Why did the Hudson Reporter ignore the “legally flawed” HUD report on Carmelo Garcia’s procurement of Charles Daglian?

Hudson Reporter’s political bias covering up for former HHA ED Carmelo Garcia after HUD issues highly critical report.

The Hudson Reporter is feeling the heat after its recent pre-election hit job directed at Councilman Ravi Bhalla.

In a rare correction over the weekend, the Hudson Reporter backed off its repeated misstatements claiming Ravi Bhalla’s law firm held the Hoboken Housing Authority legal contract.

It then followed up incorrectly stating the firm he later joined was a bidder for the same contract – a year and half later  – under interim HHA Executive Director Bob DiVincent. But it did so implying a timeline never mentioned as the bidding took place more than a year apart under a different HHA chair and board. Read More...

Solomon Dwek thanks Hoboken voters choosing him over 3rd ward Councilman Michael Russo

Released from federal prison and in a safe Hoboken location, Solomon Dwek announces:

We did it!

Together, in the biggest upset of personal choice write-in ballots on the voting machines, you the third ward Hoboken voter spoke and your voice was heard. You chose a top of the heap criminal not the two-bit variety who covers up four million stolen parking meter quarters or when bribed says make out a paltry $5,000 check to “Russo for Hoboken” for a zoning variance.

Together, we took almost 7% of the vote with the none too easy write-in process, yet cleaned up topping all personal choice charts across Hoboken combined! Read More...

Hudson Report attempts to cover up Ravi Bhalla ‘defamation’

Hudson Reporter caught in flagrante delicto secretly changing incriminating stories against Councilman Ravi Bhalla with no public disclosures

The Hudson Reporter,  flatly exposed issuing false assertions against Ravi Bhalla and his law firm by erroneously stating it controls the existing legal contract in the Hoboken Housing Authority, is attempting to cover up that misstatement among others.

The cover up entails changing stories online in a likely attempt to bury statements that under NJ law are grounds for a defamation action. Yesterday, MSV pondered if one false statement was defamatory as it relates to both Bhalla’s and his law firm’s economic livelihood. Read More...

Hoboken 2015 Election tallies by ward and district

The following tables for Hoboken’s 2015 ward races including district come courtesy of Kurt Gardiner.

All tallies are less provisional ballots.

=&0=&: In the sixth ward, a voting machine broke and voters came out of the booth saying they did not see their votes tallied after hitting the button in the 6-5 district.

This is a very strong Reform district so it’s likely Jen Giattino may have accidentally lost almost 100 votes there.

The undervote in the 6-5 was the highest by far of any contested race in the city. So IMHO, Jen Giattino likely saw  closer to 800 votes ballpark. The issue will be raised with the County but it’s unclear what remedy if any is even available. It’s not anyone’s fault and doesn’t change Councilwoman Giattino’s decisive victory. Read More...
