To the surprise of few, Mayor Dawn Zimmer is running for a third term in 2017.

The announcement however did come with some surprise with the timing in a podcast on NJ.com’s “The Backgrounder.”

Another surprise, the mayor shared her family has ties to Joisey, south Jersey as a matter of fact.
