Hoboken Elks name Irene Sobolov Citizen of the Year

Friday night was a celebration of citizenship and community recognition for the Elks here in Hoboken.  Years of community service is highlighted with this year’s award going to Irene Sobolov.  To folks who know Irene, the award is hardly a surprise.  She has a low key tenacity to get things done and it’s nice to see it recognized.

“Considering the Elks Lodge and all their members contribute so much to the community, it was an honor to receive this award from them,” Irene stated.  Here are some family shots from Friday night.

A hearty congratulations to Irene for the much deserved recognition for her service to Hoboken.  Tonight folks can see her and her Kids First team at the BoE debate at Stevens.  They will be taking on the former slate of Frank Raia along with the Real Results slate.  The BoE election is April 20th.
