Freeholder candidate Phil Cohen ramps up

Freeholder candidate Phil Cohen announces:

I wanted to update you on exciting developments in the Cohen for Freeholder
campaign, and invite you to some upcoming events.

With less than a month to election day, I am energized by the terrific levels of support I
am seeing and enjoying listening to voters in Hoboken and Jersey City talk about the
issues that most concern them. It is clear to me that residents of Hoboken and Jersey
City are ready for change in Hudson County government. I am running for Freeholder
so I can stand up for us, and let our voices be heard.

Did you know Hoboken pays millions of tax dollars more to Hudson County than
it collects for its entire City budget? It’s true.

I will be a strong advocate for change at the County level to reduce spending and
ensure County services are provided as cost-effectively as possible. With cost-cutting
measures, Hoboken’s municipal taxes were reduced by over 10 percent over the last 4
years. This is the kind change I will champion at the County level to hold the line on
taxes, put forward cost-saving initiatives and advocate for more openness and
accountability.

I am honored to have the support and endorsements of Jersey City Mayor Steven
Fulop and Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer.
