| City Hall: “The Wire is here.” |
Talking Ed Note: Hangin’ on the Vine, the Hudson County political website made another splash reporting a county resident has filed a Hatch Act violation with the Office of Special Counsel in Washington.
The website was first to publish there were problems for Garcia on that front months ago. All the waves are getting the website attention. MSV can add that it’s a target of interest by Beth Mason and her political operatives who want to know who is running the website.
The Vine has made Beth Mason’s hit list for reporting on her political operative caught en flagrant taking photos outside the home of a BoE trustee before the November election. The Vine is also the first media to publicly ask what role Beth Mason is playing in the SLAPP suit against numerous Hoboken residents.
All of this makes Beth Mason unhappy. She’s paying a lot of people to keep the truth from coming out. It’s coming out drip, drip, drip and a leak sprang from right within her own camp.
All of this places further scrutiny on the editors of the Hudson Reporter and its direct relationship and what they knew about a Masonista “Hoboken couple” but failed to report to its readers. The editors of the pro Old Guard rag found it newsworthy to put Beth Mason in the middle of their SLAPP story allowing the litigious councilwoman to yap incessantly about cyberbullying without once writing about her family’s alleged underwriting of the lawsuit against numerous Hoboken residents. The operative word here is numerous.
The Beth Mason knives are out for the Vine and the Hudson Reporter cashed the two years of Mason family page three ads without once revealing its role in the “little” conspiracy.
The Hudson Reporter sure has come a long way from trying to sell restaurant reviews ala Hoboken411!
