Church Square Park and Project Play – baby steps
Church Square Park, a historic centerpiece in the life of Hoboken’s public space is considering changes led by a citizen group Project Play presenting a plan to retool an existing children’s play areas with new equipment.
The effort comes with a minimal impact to taxpayers and the footprint of the park but has in its early stages borne some disagreement among some parents and activists surrounding peripheral fencing, lighting and the potential for additional costs due to required regulations.

The project’s previous meeting had created some contentious moments and was a focus of concern among residents recently surrounding tree removal and cutting.
