Hey Rockefeller, there’s a new sheriff in town

NJ.com reported today intent by the Rockefeller Group to build a 40 story building in the northwest section of Hoboken claiming the group had been working with city officials over the last two years.  Buried within the story was a dissenting opinion contrary to that development view from Mayor Dawn Zimmer.

Review of the two years of “discussions” reveals more from the Rockefeller Group’s thinking, – they did invest two years of discussions with city officials, in addition to the mounds of money buying up property in that area.  The only problem would be it’s past officials in the Mayor Roberts and Mayor Cammarano Administrations.  Discussions came to a sudden halt with ex-Mayor Peter Cammarano’s resignation. The Secret Life of a Wannabe Shark re: The Downfall

Dateline: Hoboken, NJ.  The disappearance of a known Weehawken scummy bottom feeder is the talk of the town.  His exposure first revealed by Dr. Dark on NJ.com’s Hoboken forum has led Da Horsey to a secret tape made at a time in the not so recent past.

This could really blow the lid off the investigation underway.  Much of the information has been compiled and transposed for the federal prosecutor in Newark.  It’s safely locked away with a third party so don’t get your hopes up.  You’ll disappear before the information does. Read More...

Macy’s 2010 4th of July Fireworks

For the second year in a row, Hoboken couldn’t be beat as the place to enjoy the Fourth of July during the day and watch the big show at night.

Here’s the footage of the grand kickoff starting with the very first shells being fired from the Macy’s barge on the Hudson River.  Shot from the marina’s pier courtesy of a kind invitation from an MSV supporter.  Thank you! Absolutely spectacular! (That’s what she said.)

Uncle Sam, they say it’s your birthday

Last July 4th (seen above), Hoboken found itself the top of the heap with great all around views of the Macy’s Fireworks on the Hudson and a center of family activities during the course of the day.  Reports came in on the overall success of the day, where the town had a steady traffic of families arriving but no problems.  May today be as successful with a great day leading into the memorable show celebrating our Republic’s 234th birthday.

When the Founding Fathers gathered to devise a government a woman in Philadelphia saw Benjamin Franklin and asked, “Doctor what kind of government have you given us?” and he replied, “A Republic if you can keep it.” Read More...

Horse Sense: Hey James B, how do you like me now?

In taking to the streets of Hoboken, MSV has rubbed some the wrong way including a Weehawken based bottom feeder among other egotistical political operatives.  If Da Horsey told you the closer you get to the light of Hoboken politics the more you’d be impressed, it would be a big fat lie.  Or in Hudson County parlance, business as usual.

Seeing senior politicos become unglued with even a simple question on their own mayoral platform, orchestrated and manufactured ethics charges, grandstanding so bad the audience couldn’t be faulted for vomiting on the failed actors at City Council meetings, MSV has unsurprisingly found itself the focal point of some less than savory attacks in recent days.
